Kim Wagers
Assistant Coach

Kim Wagers is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Yellowjacket volleyball team. The 2011-12 season will also be her third season as an assistant with the Yellowjacket women's basketball team.

A Moose Lake, Minn. native, Wagers played college basketball at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. With the Bulldogs, Wagers earned a starting spot in her junior season and was named team captain as a senior. She was a two-time North Central Conference Academic Honor Roll selection and, in 2008, graduated with her bachelor of science degree in exercise science.

Wagers was a volleyball and basketball standout at Moose Lake High School. In her high school career, Wagers not only scored over 1,000 points but she also grabbed over 1,000 rebounds. She earned All-Polar League honors three times and was a four-year starter for the Rebels. In volleyball, Wagers was a three-time All-Polar League selection as a middle hitter and in 2002 was a member of the Minnesota All-State volleyball team.


Kristin Riesgraf
Assistant Coach

Kristin Riesgraf is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Yellowjacket volleyball team.  She is also a part-time math instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and teaches at Holy Rosary in Duluth, MN.

A Hibbing, Minn. native, Riesgraf played college volleyball at Hibbing Community College, where she was named to the NJCAA All-American Team in 2006.  Also, she was named an Academic All American that same year. She went on to play at Cardinal Stritch, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Moving on, she attended University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she completed a master’s degree in applied and computational mathematics.   Her research project was on round robin tournament scheduling.  She was named All Northern Division, All State MCAC, and All Region teams during your time at HCC.  Made the dean’s list at Cardinal Stritch, and graduated with the top GPA of math majors.  At UMD, she was name Teaching Assistant of the year (2010-2011) and received honorable mention for the service award due to her contributions to the International Workshop on Graph Labels.    

Riesgraf was a three year letter winner at Hibbing High School where she competed in two state tournaments and also went to two National Tournaments for Junior Olympics.
